I got some from bikediscount a few weeks ago-the protection ones though-seem to hold well enough-only ever used DH high rollers so don't know how they'll compare.
Why not stick with what you like?

Wait until they get reprinted with Trail king next year, a much more masculine name 🙂

I have DHF high rollers but had some right sketchy moments on my last XC run and washed out landing a 3ft drop which resulted in a broken hand, and psychologically maybe lack of confidence in the tyres

"racesport" versions are paper thin, and rip if a rock looks at them wrong. Not for day to day use (on Conti's recommendation).

Isn't that more to do with the Americans failing to understand the German sense of humour?

Highrollers aren't perfect tyres but if a dh supertacky isn't enough for your xc, a rubber queen isn't either- they're not so different. Mind you, what size?

my HR was 2.35but has minions before them,2.5's but think they were the sh1t ones as they never stated ST or Maxxpro.was going to take a punt on some Butchers but im pretty confused on the tyre malarky,

"Wait until they get reprinted with Trail king next year, a much more masculine name" ye but nearly a tenner difference in tyre just to not make the tyre sound "Girly"

I chucked a racesport on last time as I couldn't find the regular versions in stock.
That was 6 months ago and it's not imploded yet.... That bikes only been ridden a dozn times or so since though & nothing more than trail centres.

I saw them at Tamworth Rugby club once.
At a Gentlemans Smoking Evening

(I'm sure one was Russian though).

Front or back?

My front one is still ok, the back one get a 1" slash in it which I botched a fix, then it got a 2 1/2" slash writing off the tyre. This is over a few months of use.I wouldn't recommend racesport versions for anything other than racing where I wanted to risk a written off tyre for the sake of 100 grams weight saving.

Black Chilli Baron up front and RQ on rear has worked an absolute treat for me!

Not sure I'd want 2 RQs though...

MMMMMMMM food for thought, might try the new HR2 or Minion up front,i kinda had a wash out resulting in broken hand and suppose im maybe blaming tyre instead of rider error for my fall, came off a 3ft(ish) drop which i have rode umpteen times but this one time i washed out on landing but it wasn't even a major one, just hit hand on the ground in landing and broke the 5th metacarpal,
