Can I buy rubber strip in bulk for mounting various things to bikes? I know the DIY answer is inner tubes, but these are thin and tend to degrade quite quickly. I've got a few things where the rubber is missing....

I've used some thick heli-tape for areas where I'm attaching frame bags or have a bar-bag / cables potentially rubbing the headtube.  Or is this more for grip like mounting lights to the bar?

Would 2228 mastic tape do it for you?

I use it for under zipties on mudguards and for chainstay protection.
