Can't find many (well, any really) reviews of the PlanetX RT-80. Anyone got one and if so how is it?
I have the disc brake version which I am disappointed in. It just feels dead compared to the TCrR2 it replaced. It is slightly heavier but that doesn't explain it all.
Some dyed in the wool roadie mates who bought new bikes at the same time ,Cannondale and a Willier, said what do you expect at that price? I am currently spending money to try and liven it up.
Thanks Fog... little bump
Happy with mine.
Comfortable, sub 8kgs and much prefer it to the SCR it replaced.
Full 105, Prologue saddle, fulcrum 5 wheels, etc and all in under £600 built with all brand new parts.
Welcome to try it if you're close enough
Edit - Luxembourg, maybe not
Well that's the problem. In need of a new frame but not a single one near enough to try 🙂
If it helps then I have the RT90 as a winter bike, and I'm pretty impressed with it. It's got Force on it, and HED Ardennes+ wheels and I much prefer it to the Kinesis it replaced. My summer bike is an R5, and the RT90 feels closer to that than it does to the Kinesis.
If you haven't done so already then upgrade the wheels ASAP, spend as much as you can!
I've got a donor bike so don't need much other than a couple of mechs. The thing is, the price of the frame I'd like to get plus the odds and ends Id need almost cost as much as the TdF version of the RT80 so maybe that's a better deal
