Mid install... and the questions keep coming....should the 'noodle' bit that routes the cable into the post be loose/wobbly?

The slack is probably taken up once you install the remote lever

nope 😉 lever comes installed... and cable has been tightened.

(that was my first thought too)

Sounds like the inner cables too long/outer too short.

The instructions tell you how to rejig it and it's not too bad to do just don't undo the upper collar though it's a pain to put the shaft an pins back 🙂

There's actually very few parts in these posts
