Mrs Polisherman needs her posterior measuring.

Is there anywhere in the NW area where she won't be dealt with by the part time Saturday lad?

The pain is coming from her seat bones, not the usual "soft tissue" area. Doing the usual trial and error saddle adjusting. Now she needs to make sure the saddle is the right width. Had a look at bike fitting companies, but not sure how effective it would be for MTB.

Anything more than an hour and she's in agony. It's a recent thing, done plenty of week long trips in the past.

You can do it at home quite easily

From what you say its only recently become a problem and was fine for long rides before so what has changed?

Has the current saddle's padding become too soft/not supportive enough?

Has her padded shorts (if she wears them) become compressed/flattened & worn

Id be more inclined to look at these first if all was ok before on long rides

It's not just for Christmas parties - taking a photocopy of her arse (also with a ruler for scale) sitting on the machine is a very accurate method.  Post the pics here and I'm sure someone can advise 🙂

I had mine measured at Evans Cycles at the Trafford Centre, using the Specialized Body Geometry thingy that you sit on.

Seems to have done the trick for me!
