Anyone know if it's possible to change the travel on a Yari RC100 29+ to 120mm? Or has anybody done it? I'm aware with other models it can be just an air shaft swap, but not sure on this fork. Any advice would appreciated.

i thought that 120mm was the shortest travel Yari that was made . Didn't think there was a 100 version

I’ve seen some for sale and a 100mm is listed amongst the 29+ forks in RS Yari’s service manual. Probably not widely available because of the limited market.

Hi OP.

I have a pair of 29plus Yari's in 100mm format.

In theory yes.

When I popped my airshaft out it was stamped 26'' 130mm/100mm Yari  IIRC so a 140mm 26'' airshaft would in theory give 110mm in 29er mode and so on.

A la:

Maybe worth checking with TF or such like to be sure but I think its fine.

Also check your stanchions are long enough for thI linger travel. Sometime they’re marked with several sets of sag markings for different travel versions of the same fork. My Yari has markings for 150/160 on it, although I’m now running it as a 170mm.

I have a airshaft from a 120mm Yari that I extended up to 150mm. PM me if interested.

Cheers for the advice so far. I’ll contact TF as suggested. I haven’t bought the fork yet, and would like to know before I do. Thanks again
