Hi.
I've bought some 100mm 29er RS forks with the OneLoc remote. They are all black including (32mm) stanchions and have no stickers on them. Is there a way of telling if these are SID's or Reba's without dismantling them ?
I believe the share a common chassis so look identical externally ?
Cheers
Michael
I was going to be all hilarious and say it was the spelling, but I'm not *that* funny.
Maybe you could weigh them?
Or could there be a clue in the serial number?
I was wondering if there is something in the serial number ? Maybe the two numbers before the T ?
First 4 is the date. Month, Taiwan, year. After that I think modern rockshox are just sequential the serial doesn’t give you an indication of specific model.
I’m pretty sure if you drop the fork from the frame, black steerer = SID, silver steerer = Reba. (On the recent ones after oneloc).
My 2014 Sid b have a silver steerer. I think these remained unchanged until this year. They are 29er rct3 model.
