I think its time to get involved in the dropper post game as I'm sick of having to stop and adjust my seatpost all the time, which I have to do several times per ride.
If there was only £25 in it (the Reverb is slightly more expensive) which one of the above would you choose? My frame doesn't have internal routing so it would be the regular non-Stealth Reverb if that makes any difference.
I ride in a large group of riders.
Some kit becomes the group 'Standard issue kit'.
The Reverb is one of those.
There are some of us with 2 full years on them without touching them at all.
Many others have come and gone. Speedball, Joplin, HiLo, KS Lev. Only the Gravity Dropper has lasted as well. As yet nobody has tried the Thompson as most already have a Reverb and are happy.
I much prefer the KS remote. Much more ergonomic than a Reverb remote and works with all brake levers and gear shifters. Where as the Reverb can be a pain to fit with Shimano brakes and gears unless you are running 1 by X system.
I own a KS LEV and Reverb. In action both work exactly the same but I prefer the lever on the KS by a long way.
Yeah the KS lever is certainly swinging me in that direction because I run a full Shimano groupset and can mount it on my ODI grips.
The Reverb does seem to be the go-to option though and I've had good experiences with SRAM warranty in the past. Tough decision.
