Seems I've got an issue with my Reverb.

Its the 2016 B1 Stealth and was a warranty replacement.

The bike has been sat in a work-stand for a while, Whilst waiting for a new headset.

On reassembling my bike today, i removed it from the stand and gave the Reverb a couple of cycles. On the third cycle the post compressed fully and stuck in position.

At first i thought the post had slipped in the frame but on closer inspection it looks as though the circlip that holds the base plate lock ring has disintegrated! This means the upper post is moving through the lower post!

Has anyone had this issue before? Should it be covered under another warranty?

The post is less than 12 months old.

They'll almost certainly cover it, but how much of your original warranty do you have left? The warranty starts with the original purchase, not the replacement post.

(regardless, I bet they sort it anyway tbh)

If it is that and you can get yourself a c clip it won't need anything other than pulling the base plate back into the post and fit the new clip
Jobs a good un

Back to the shop for a warranty request it is then!

I've had a good look in the seat tube to see the retaining ring is stuck somewhere, but nothing!

Can't believe its just disintegrated!
