I have a set of 'coil' RS revelation QR forks with 130mm travel and was wondering if i could swap the QR lowers out to a set which use a 15mm Bolt Thru. I called TFTuned and they couldn’t definitively tell me, but thought it may be achievable....
Anyone tried this?
These are great forks which I dont really want to change so rather than changing the whole fork this might be a option to stiffen things up a bit?
I have tried crunching the part numbers in the past for these forks as if they are the 426 revs like in the pic below then i also have a pair.
They are based on the same chassis as the recon/reba so no 15mm or 20mm lowers were developed for them. With later Revelation forks and Later Recons they did have 20mm but I believe also had different uppers.
I would love to be proved wrong but think the best way to stiffen them up will be a 9mm axle QR rather than the standard 5mm one.
i would like to know if a 2008 air U-Turn Rev can be coil-ized....
possible?

I asked TF that same last year and the answer was a resounding no. Something to do with there being no indentation for the circlip that holds the bottom of the spring (air u-turn screws into the top-cap).
bugger.
the air seems to escape from the neg. chamber.
something else to sell when i get round to it....
thanks for the info.
alpin,
I spoke to Loco about my U-Turn Rev airs that seem to loose air from neg. chamber. He recommended the Air U-Turn service kit £24 on his site

Dunno if he does shipping to Germany but the Rock Shox part number is listed so you may be able to source over it there.
