Didn't realise that Rockshox forks don't have the threaded holes to fit RRP bolt-ons. Has anyone found a bodge to make it work? Filling the back of the arch with something and then tapping some holes in it?

Not for the RRP specifically, but I did get some guards on a fox 32 once by setting some bolts in araldite on the webbing of the arch.

I was going to fit a couple of rods in to two of the holes in the arch and epoxy them in. That was until i realised that the fork crown (2019 revelations) comes lower than the arch when the fork is bottomed out, so will hit the guard.

I wonder if someone with 3D printer skills could make an adapter? Something that would allow you to screw the guard onto the adapter, with the adapter clipped over the brace? More like how the DFender mudguards do/did it

I've got the same fork and only just realised this when I took out all the air after using it for a few months.

Not sure whether to just carry on it only hits a tiny bit before bottom out...

How did you fix the guard to the fork? I wouldn't be worried too much if it's ziptied, but may be a concern if it's bolted on, especially a bodge like i was going to do.

I have mudhuggers on Lyrik and pike forks. I've just a few layers of self amalgamating tape to space them down so there's no clash on full travel.

It's the flange for the bolts on the RRP guard that give the main problem (for me) to the op's question. My fork is 42mm offset so it may work with a larger offset but i'm not sure it's worth trying to bodge some fixings as when i lined up and spaced it all out, the bolt holes were lining up with the bottom of the arch so i can't see a way of fixing it securely from there.

Yep, this was a lovely little lockdown project. I epoxied 2x nuts into the back of the crown on my lyriks. Works well. Lot's of trial and error... the big lessons - 2 nuts gives more thread than one, and more for the epoxy to grab - there's a lot of leverage on the bolt from front and rear of mudguard. You need to keep a space behind the nuts so that the bolt doesn't push against the epoxy and push the nuts out. Make sure bolt isn't so long that it pushes on crown and pushes nuts out too. The guard comes with spacers to get the angle right for fox and ohlins forks. I wrapped one of these in black electrical tape until the angle of the dangle was just right, but this feels like a dodge to far and want to revisit this. I used as big a washer as possible to stop the bolt pulling through the tape and plastic. So far so good!
