I can't get a 2.2 RQ UST seated on my WTB Laser disc trail rim.
Tried soapy water and my 9p compressor to no avail.
Never had issues with Maxxis UST on these rims.
Any advice?

Try the washing up liquid neat. I managed to get them up with a track pump on a pair of xm819s with this method. An alternative is to put a tube in, seat the tyre, then take the tube out leaving one side seated on the rim.

Yes! Don't buy Small Block 8 USTs! I'm a big show-off as to how easy I can fit and seal any UST tyre, but SB8s are a nightmare!

Don't let it put you off. Get a pair of fairly cheap Crank Bros Cobalt 2 wheels and you'll experience an instant improvement.

I had a set of those rims and took 60 psi to pop on. Keep pumping and they will pop on.

The inner tube method worked a treat.
