Is this normal and indicitive of needing a service? It's just over a year old.

There isnt much difference between the shock with lever in closed and open position even though the setting is on 3.

At rest, the differenec between the Pro-Pedal being on in position three and off is really quite marked; it feels like it's almost locked out. On the trail, it might be less noticeable and that's sort of how it's supposed to be, i.e. pro-pedal is not meant as a lock out and the damper should still open up over even small 'high speed' impacts. You would also expect a damper to 'loosen up' over time and that would translate to it feeling more supple, especially when riding.

But what you're describing sounds like there is something actually wrong with it.

If it's a year old, it would be a good time for a service anyway so you may as well report this on the spec sheet when sending it off.

Hope that helps.

I was just going to do the air seal service myself first and see if that works. What do the TF etc do over and above an air seal service?

Sounds like it might be cavitating and the nitrogen has leaked across the main seal in to the oil. Is it making any noise?

They could take the whole thing apart and check it's working correctly (and at the same time they could set the internals up for you and your bike0.

If there is a problem with the Pro-Pedal (as anjs suggests) then a basic service won't fix it as all the relevant parts are sealed inside the shaft.

Sounds like it needs to be serviced by a dealer

If it's only a year old and there is a problem with it, then most likely it would be fixed under waranty. Call Mojo and ask them.

Full service needed I would guess, due every 200 hrs according to Fox.

If it's squelching that suggests the Nitrogen has got into the oil which would explain the loss of the propedal damping

The squelching is not good I think that means it needs a service.
