Call me an idiot, but i'm considering changing my CCDB shock with ti spring for a Fox rp23 Kashima. The shock is on a Nomad C that I'm looking to lighten up a little.

Has anyone tried both? Would anyone be in a position to swap said for said? the CCDB is 8.5" x 2.5" with a 450lb ti coil. I'e also got spare steel coils of 450lb and 500lb.

Hmmm if it doesn't have to be a kashmia coated rp23 I might be interested in swapping, want to keep my nomad for dh duties now I have anthem for xc. I dropped about a pound in weight over using a dhx4 coil with ti spring. Also think the rp performs better if you are pedalling a lot, got noticably fewer pedal strikes. Can't comment on a ccdb though - mate had one on his uzzi which he loved, interestingly when his bike was stolen and he replaced it with a ss he hasn't bothered upgrading

how much do you want for the CCDB?
IIRC the stroke can be increased to suit the bike?

I think you're making a big mistake. I went from a custom tuned
RP23 to a ccdb and the difference is night and day, more grip and more speed in the rough stuff, better pedalling. It does weigh a tonne though
