Calf/Bowderdale out of Sedburgh is the most obvious.

Crossfell which is a bit of hike'bike and High Cup Nic.

Nearer Dent/Hawes there is the Cam High route here: http://offroadadventures-online.com.servepreview.net

Thanks Trekster, probably more the first links as we want to ride from the door. The Calf route looks an ideal hangover route!

Lots of bridleways up there and pubs too. Get an OS map and link up the pubs via BW and you'll have a nice day out.

Had a fantastic weekend in the quiet Howgill's.

We ended up just putting a shortish route together using the local BW's. Some of the BW's we went on didnt look like they had ever seen a bike and were very tough going. 12 miles felt like 30 !

http://www.tarnoutdoor.co.uk/ great barn where we stayed in the middle of no where, great views, fantastic setup, riding from the door.

The Barn where 35 of us stopped. Was fantastic. Fire pit in the grounds, as well as small football pitch, BBQ's. No one around for miles.

The barn is on the right hand side of the valley. This is a Bridleway!

In a 'watch your mates puking as they try to ride up Calders' sort of way!

EDIT: didn't see the last post was a report! 😳

That barn place looks ace!
