I normally ride around hope/edale/ladybower area but never been over hayfield way except for the usual Jacobs loop from hope.

are there any decent loops around 20 to 30 miles from hayfield? easy to follow, good rocky technical riding etc. not after mile munching fireroad stuff but similar routes to hope/edale.

Any suggestions very much appreciated 🙂

Check the third ride down on the following link, http://www.mbr.co.uk/routes/south-west-england/10-best-uk-winter-rides-317957

In my opinion it is some of the best riding in the peak with a mixture of quality singletrack, rocky descents all with a fair bit of climbing. You can link up the clover in different places if you want too so worth looking at an os map.

@monde I may be missing something but this loop, which I think is one of mine, isn't actually from Hayfield?

Hayfield up to Chinley Churn, Peep o Day, Coldwell Clough, up towards Edale Cross and then down to Kinder Reservoir and up onto Middle Moor works. Usually then head up the A624 to Hollingworth and then south past Lantern Pike. There's some cracking sections but overall it's not AS GOOD as Jacob's/Roych etc - what is?

Give me a shout if you want a GPX - email is on my profile.
