Planning to ride Nant Y Arian on Saturday, and then do some natural riding on the way home on Sunday.

Can anyone recommend a route on the way home between Nant Y Arian and Derbyshire? Thinking of either heading North to Machynlleth, or East to the Long Mynd, or Rhayader/Elan valley?

Any weblinks to must-do routes are much appreciated 🙂

Eastridge, Its great fun. A tough little 5 mile loop, would recommend 2 laps, as after the first you will ride the second alot faster 🙂 ideal as it's almost in straight line between Nant and Derbyshire. It's my fav Shropshire trail.

Oops just seen the natural bit in your request, go for the long Mynd, 🙂

I'd be heading to the Elan Valley myself.

Fantastic riding and almost no one else on the trails.

Sorry no links.

There are routes out there if you look though.

The guys at the bike shop in town (Clive Powell) will point you in the right direction to some of the nice stuff.

Try and include the descent to Garreg Ddu (top picture). The golf links and the Nantgwyllt Chapel descents are ace too.

No worries, I'm sure I can figure a route out from what's available online. Thanks for the pointers. Where is the bottom pic from?

That's the trail that takes you to the top of the Garreg Ddu descent.

That's seven descents of the final part of the track. Because you'll want to do it that many times.

I'm guessing that something like this route has it all on...

I thought the Climachx final descent was closed at the moment? Ridden it before too, so was looking for au-naturel stuff. I'm thinking Elan valley or the Long Mynd look like the winners...
