Running XTR brakes at the moment.
Can I use any brand rotor aslong as the size ie ( 160mm) is the same or do I have to stick with Shimano?
help appreciated!

Nope, use what you want.
I use KCNC Razors and Avid G3s on 2 different sets of wheels.
