So, I’m not exactly bereft of riding, living a 20 min drive from the peak(s), lady cannings and 30 from wharnclife and Grenoside, however as Rother Valley Country Park is only an 11 mile pootle away I was wondering if the trails are worth a visit, specifically the red and black runs?

Many thanks

They're alright, I often ride the "red" jump track trail on my way home from work. Is pretty easy for a red, no problem riding it on a cross bike, but good fun. The black downhill track is short but also fun as is diggers downhill. Again, easier than the colour suggests but still good. If you're coming from Sheffield, park at the roundabout on the A57 by the Elmwood Farm pub as it's a much shorter drive and saves the parking charge at the country park...

Cheers Paule

Hmm, might be worth a look then. I was tempted to ride out but my big bouncy bike isn’t too much fun on the road / bridleways.

Having ridden (badly) wharncliff downhill quite a bit I wonder if I might be a little underwhelmed ..

11 miles i’m afraid - virtually all day ride with current levels of fitness 😐
