On my search for a good value 120 ish travel bike I looked at the rose web site. German mail order bikes like canyon, really good value on paper.

Any one tried one?, particularly the Jabba wood which seems to fit the bill.

Had a look at them after the review in Singletrack. Lovely looking bikes, but nope, not ridden one.

(Isn't the importer chap the one who's missing?)

Can't say anything about Rose, but I know three people with FS Canyons (2 Nerve XCs and a Nerve AM) and they love them. I had a go on a Nerve XC and thought it felt great, but I'm no expert on FS. They're ridiculously well-specced for the money, especially as they're on sale just now.

I tested a granite chief round my local trails. Felt heavy and didn't climb well because of it. Really quite dull and uninspiring.

Oh and since then Rose send me a big colour brochure every month. Would be lovely except it's all in German...

I was just about to ask the same thing. They do a really well specced womens specific 140mm travel thing which I like the look of, no idea where I could try one out and I don't know of anyone who's ridden one. Perhaps I'll buy a german dictionary and join a forum over there...
