Just wondered if any Zesty 314 owners had tried carrying their bike on roof bars.

I was thinking about getting the Thule 591's but I'm not 100% certain whether or not the arm of the bike holder (which clamps to the down tube), could actually clamp on due to the rear suspension arrangement?

Any thoughts?

I use a Mont Blanc Barracuda on my 214 with no issue.

It fits my 514 with no issues and I previously had a 314 which I think must have been on that rack too (thought I can't remember specifically). Fits on the down tube below the rear shock with no issues.

The 591 arm can be set at any angle required, so there's a bit of flexibility (to also ensure the front wheel also doesn't poke off the end of the aluminium channel too much).

561 fork mounted - its the future!

No faffing about with clamps and rub on your frame, looks miles better too, and after using both i'd say the fork mounted is far more secure.

I've also noticed a reduction in fuel costs too as the bike sits lower in the rack.

Just my opinion though.
