Roof bars for a tandem

Hi,

I've bought a kiddy back tandem and now the wee one has learned to ride it, I'd like to take it to some woods to ride it, and potentially away on holiday.

It came with a bike carrier that has clamps for square roof bars, these

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/186352428415?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=bylh8lsktqs&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=a9M6NJdMTVq&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

I have Thule aero roof bars.

The bike carrier clamps have two bolts that are not wide enough to go over the aero bars.

Any suggestions?

A) I don't want to get square bars as I have other stuff that fits the aero bars

B) goggling Thule tandem bike carrier gets me a roof carrier with two (tandem) arms.

C) I have thought I might swap the Thule carrier onto the longer tandem carrier. The Thule stuff has two channels on the bars and the tandem has one channel. So I can't swap the Thule carrier feet onto the tandem roof bar

Any suggestions? I'm resigned to spending cash to get a tandem carrier to fit the aero bars

Can you swap for T bar clamp on one side- then the other will be moved over and fit.

What's a t bar clamp?

When I Google it I get stuff about clamps for sash windows?

The upside down T goes in the slot under the rubber strip.

I used the t track bolts as above when i had a tandem rack that i needed to fit to similar bars. It was on but I'd recommended also using straps both sides to stop the bike wobbling

Thanks very much!

I was not expecting a £10 solution!

I'll give it a cautious go and add some straps. I have some webbing ratchets from moving a sofa on my roof bars. They should be tough enough
