I just managed to get one of these super cheap on FB marketplace, I’m just getting a few bits to tidy it up and wondered if anyone had recommendations on a chainset?

It’s currently running a FSA Omega Exo 42t and looking for something a little nicer looking and lighter if possible.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Depends on whether you are happy to swap BB or not I guess. My Ruut came with a Rival chainset which I swapped out for Force Carbon to save a good chunk of weight - along with quite a few other swapouts to get it down to 8.5Kg 🙂

I picked up a brand new 2x Force chainset on ebay, flogged the as new rings, spider and bolts and bought a bargain 42t ring and spider from Planet X, once I sold the Rival chainset I was quits!

as above
i managed to bag a force 2x and woltooth 40t chain ring for less than i could find the 1x force crankset (was 150 ish on ebay at the time), there was over 200g difference in weight between that and the rival chainset i took out...
btw.. got a rival chainset and 40t ring with 15 miles on it i need to sell 😛

Thanks guys, I was hoping to avoid changing the BB but guessing I would need to do it if I went down the Force route?
