So I’m on a course with work for a couple of weeks in fareham, just wondering if a few hrs post work (5pm onwards) is a viable option at rogate, it says 4pm closure on the website but most pay to play spots say that down my way but only Woodys bike park enforces it.
I haven’t been to rogate for about 10 years, just wondering if it’s on the cards as an option or not. Obviously paying for a day pass, I’ve become a member on the B1ke website. Taking my dj bike and eeb up with me, looking at S4P for some trails and Rogate for a razz on the eeb. Any other recommendations along the same lines and within a hour of fareham much appreciated.
I think Rogate’s open until 8pm on Wednesdays while the evenings are long on so you should be ok. I think they do enforce the closure time, certainly at the car park which is at the top of the hill now, not alongside the trails as it might have been when you last went?
Other than that, there’s plenty to go at at QECP away from the signed trails, and a bit further up the A3 but before you get to S4P puts you at the Devils Punchbowl/Hindhead where is there is endless natural stuff and If you’re on an eeb you’ll get loads of runs in as it tends to be shortish runs then punchy climbs back up.
Thanks for the reply lcj, yeah the parking was on the side of the road squeezed in a layby if you were lucky! Hindhead/devils punchbowl sounds like a good shout. QECP again a long time since I’ve been, the stuff out the back was better than the stuff in the park, but wasn’t bowled over by any of it, i may have a look see what’s changed.

Oh and Southampton bike park….good for an hour on the dj bike?
If you do go to Rogate, Screen shot the QR codes for your membership & ticket before you go. Internet connection there is a problem.
