Following on from "my Rockshox monarch is leaking air" thread.... I have taken the shock apart and ordered a service kit. I was quite surprised by how simple the engineering in the shock is. Is it possible to replace the shrader valve if it turns out the shock still leaks after replacing all seals ? Can you buy Rockshox shrader valves ?

Dont know...but you can almost certainly replace the valve core I would have thought...you can with tubeless valves and inner tubes. Just need the little tool

Proposal: LBS or any car tyre shop.

Or... buy a cheap bike tube with Shrader valve and take the valve from this tube...

As far as I know: these Shrader valves are all the same.

Work related, high pressure N2 bottles: when we have problems with those we take the normal car Shrader valves to replace them. No problems.

If RockShock invented something "new" here: I doubt.

Mounting new Shrader valves: spray a bit of silicone spray onto the valve before threading in.

Are we talking about a Monarch with the swivel out valve?

If so, all you can do is throw it away.
