Hi
The Roval wheels on my Epic have large, flat end caps so they don't mark the dropouts of the Sid fork - and supposedly increase stiffness.
Does anybody use normal hubs and end caps?
Do the fork ends mark easily - or is there any noticeable increase in flex?
Thanks
Alan

These are torque caps I believe, I think Sids run them now (Are they 2016 sids?). You can run normal ones just fine, it makes no difference in terms of any wear on the fork, although it is supposed to be stiffer.

Thanks.
They are 2011 Sid with Brain with QR.
You can't seem to buy 26 inch Roval wheels with the big, flat end caps now.
Should be OK using a normal wheel though?

Yeah it'll be fine. It was a Specialized thing, Rock Shox then adapted the flatter dropout face to increase the contact area. Normal wheels are fine, I didn't notice any difference at all when I changed.
