Hello, I just went through the rebuild process on my dropper. Everything went pretty well for about five minutes. Then it stopped rebounding, and just stopped reacting to the remote. I put my old seat on again, and started taking the Reverb apart again. While releasing the air pressure with my shock pump there was sputtering Reverb oil that came out as well. The things that didn't go smoothly while putting the post back together: Just before drawing the excess oil out I turned the whole thing sideways and some oil came out onto the floor. Also I took the redneck route and used my reverb bleed syringe and a hard plastic tube from a spray bottle instead of the oil height tool. And the big O-ring on the inner seal head that people have posted as the root of all evil on these things, showed a miniscule thread was sheared when connecting the lower and upper post (but we're talking really tiny thread. Any ideas on what the main culprit was/is?

Usually if one of my Reverbs is being an arse after a rebuild, it's air in the remote and it needs a bleed
In fact I've swapped them both to Bike Yoke DeHys, makes one less thing to worry about and less waste during a service.

Step back, take a deep breath, and take your time.

I use the proper SRAM IFP tool (tube with marks on) and a home made oil height tool, which is a length of car brake pipe with a bit of random aluminiun screwed to it and a syringe.
