My revelations are not holding -ve air. I assume that one of the seals is defective. I don't have any issue servicing them myself but was curious about the use of grease to lubricate the air spring o rings. What grease is best? I have some RSP Ultra Slick would that be ok or would it be better to just use some 15wt oil like my pikes used?
With regards the seals is there any upgrade seals available or just a standard Rockshox service kit?

Cheers

You sure it's losing air? -ve is pretty small...when you re-attach the shock pump, the air from -ve will fill the pump and give a reading quite a bit less than when you pumped it up.

FWIW I just use grease on the inside of the duster seals...RnR Superslick

Yeah 100% you can tell with the way the fork feels and when I connect the pump after a few hours the reading is zero.

Have at look at the tech manuals on the sram webby. I'm sure you only use grease in the air spring, or my 2012 Rebas do anyway. That RSP stuff will be fine, any light suspension type grease will be. I use the Stendec stuff, personally.

Yeah it says grease in the manual. Just thought the oil might give a better result. I shall give it a service and see what happens.

RS use a military o-ring grease but I think it's a little too tacky I get good results by using slick honey and a drop of red rum on top of the air piston before I refit the top cap. If it's a air leak make sure you replace the o-ring around the top cap and check the air assembly for damage.

Stripped inspected and re greased the air piston and they held pressure overnight so hopefully that will be them sorted now. Thanks for the advice!
