Looking at a possible purchase of a new set of these but don't know much about them. Seen a good deal.

Decent enough, i'd probably hold out for a bargain on some Reba's for a superlight - if you're looking aat merlins £200 half price deal I only paid £250 for my Reba's from them. 150g less.

Assuming you're looking at new, that is, 2nd hand a whole lot comes up for that kind of money that would be better.

Where have you seen a good deal? I've been looking for a decent replacement fork for my partner's bike (she's got a really heavy Recon Silver coil fork) but everywhere I look the Recon Gold air sprung forks are actually more expensive than Rebas. Merlin's £199 deal is for 2012 forks at 120mm, the 100mm ones are £239.95 making 100mm Rebas even more attractive.

As above, have a look around for Reba deals, I paid £299 for some 2013 Reba RLTs from On-One and there are plenty of other deals about.

I spend a lot of time on rigid forks, so any bouncy fork is a refreshing change.
Couldn't notice any difference between Recon Gold and a Fox 32.

My Recons are a year old now and haven't given me any problems in that time. And they've had a fair few miles of race abuse.

I had a leaking seal and air chamber on a set of Recon golds after about 5 rides .They were repaired under warranty by on one.
