You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
If I lift the wheel off the ground and then put it down and apply a little force, there's about 2-3 mm of unsprung movement before the spring kicks in - fork is a few years old but serviced not long ago. No topout clunk as such; more something you can feel.
Any ideas?
I have something similar with a set of Revelations. There's a thread somewhere.
What I don't have is an answer 🙁
Service didn't fix it. I read somewhere that a small amount of play is there to reduce stiction. My guess is it is the bushings as that's the only thing left. Not worth spending the money on my forks so I'm going to run them into the ground and look for replacements on offer.
Sometimes it can come and go with rebound and compression settings. But they had to be oven slow and lower pressure which I didn't like.
