Hi lads
Just bought a second hand 2016 reign.
I have strppedbit down and serviced bearings and fork. I also removed shock and cleaned and relived the air can.
I noticed that the bike had a clunk in the first 10% of the shock stroke. I thought this must have been a bearing or bush so checked them all again.
I then tried to compress the shock with the lsc on medium and firm and the clunk was gone. I have read that this is probably air in the damper oil.
However the lsc went stiff but eventually started moving again but now the firm setting is no different from the min setting. When the lever is in the medium position there is still some compression Damping though.
How does the lever work inside the shock? Will a full service sort this ?
Cheers

Just a quick bump. Does anyone have an idea plz? Just don’t want to spend 50 notes on a service kit if it’s not going to fix lock out.

Cheers

I've had this on a few monarch plus shocks. Sent it off for repair to J-tech. I thought it was an IFP problem.

Hi mate thanks for the reply . I haven’t the money at the min to send it off sovwas hoping to do it myself. I don’t mind rebuilding the shock as long as I know it will sort the lsc damping.
I think it might just be something wrong with the valve the the lever connects too as medium setting still works.

I will just ride it first too see as I haven’t had a go of the bike yet. I never use any lsc on my other bikes so may not need it. I will probs buy another shock off eBay when I get paid and service this one at my leisure .
Was hoping someone might know how the lsc lever works.

The knock never felt different on the trail, and I found after it warmed up a bit it went away.

I had this on a monarch plus on my nomad, replaced under warranty so no idea it it was serviceable sorry, but it was quite disconcerting out on the trail when it was happening.
