Hi all,

So I’ve just fitted the charger 2 damper upgrade to my 2017 pikes, replacing the charger damper

All gone well and no issues until I go to fit the compression knob. Followed SRAMs instructions to fit but when I tighten down with the top small but the compression and 3 position Open pedal lock is very loose.

Anyone come across this before, I’ve tried to refit in varying ways but it’s loose..if I push the compression dial down then the 3 way is tight. But when using the nut as per instructions it’s loose!

Any ideas :/

Thanks

I’ve stripped it back off and rebuilt to see if there were any errors on the 1st build. Seems not..

The only thing I’ve noticed is that the blue compression adjustment nut (under the top cap adjuster) does move down when pressed by hand and comes back up again, it moves slightly but it seems it’s enough to not allow the tiny grub screw enough movement to tighten the compression adjuster enough and therefore it all wiggles about

Has anyone got a pike or any rCT3 with any experiences of this?

Are U using the small o ring under the top LSC adjuster knob?
I remember I had hassles when I installed my charger 2 upgrade. There were no instructions for the order of the compression dials. I had to work it out myself and it took a while to get it right. There was 1 piece I didn't end up using (I can't remember which piece??). Sorry, this probably doesn't help at all.
Is it the RCT3 version?

I ended up putting the o ring under the lsc dial just for sanity so I could ride

It’s a little stiff but can be adjusted

Otherwise it’s just loose and rattles if I place the o ring under the 3 position dial in the rct3

Seems ok for now :/
