I recently serviced my 2011 Rockshox Revelation RL Motion Control forks, with the help of a friend who is a part time bike-shop spanner man. We followed the very detailed instructions in the technical manual, used the correct quantities and grades of suspension fluid, but since the service the lockout doesn't appear to be working.
Initially we thought there was an insufficient amount of fluid in the drive-side (damper) leg for the lockout to work, so I added another 10ml, but this made no difference. Also, the Floodgate control seems to have lost influence over the performance of the damper unit.
Any suspension gurus out there know what I'm doing wrong? Suspension servicing is unfamiliar territory for me, so any help/ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
