just seen a post from a few years ago where someone recommended discarding these and filling the gap with Stendec fork grease.
I like this idea as the foam rings are a pain unless you’re swapping the wipers too.
Any thoughts?

I just buy a big bag of rings and replace when doing lower leg service.
