I’ve just Set up a RockShox deluxe ultimate which has a two position lever pedal and lockout. As I’ve never had a lockout on a rear shock I’ve ended up quite puzzled as there seems to be as much movement locked out as in pedal. Any thoughts? Cheers in advance
Matt
Most lockouts will still allow travel, they just stiffen up the shock. It's lockout in name only.
There should be an obvious difference, even by just pushing down on the saddle, that's how my super deluxe is and every fox shock I've previously had, shock should stiffen and travel should feel significantly reduced.
We usually call them "climb switches" instead these days.
As above, it should feel harder to push saddle down in one position than the other?
