You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
I've got some lyrik rc2, I seem to need a lot of pressure to achieve a reasonable sag value, ie rockshox is recommending 94psi for my weight but I'm needing 140psi to get to less than 25% sag.
do these forks naturally sit quite low at the beginning of the travel hence sag isn't the best indicator of setup?
That’s quite a lot of psi - how much do you weigh? I’m about 12 stone and think I’m running around 80-90 psi ish. That’s an rct3 2018 spec fork, but with the 2019 debonair air spring. I wonder see if you’ve somehow got more pressure in the negative spring than you should have, causing it to suck down.
Id let some air out down to like 20 psi and cycle the fork a bit. Then up it to around 50 psi and cycle it again. Then up so around 90 psi then cycle it again. Then try setting your sag and see how that comes out.
The fork is very plush and keen to get moving - but the rc2 damper shouldn’t have any effect on sag so shouldn’t be too different to mine.
