Looking at e mountain bikes currently and alot of the ones in my price bracket come with rockshox 35 Gold forks which I understand to be low end?
Are these forks capable of the extra force of the ebike and capable of enduro and smallish jumps?
Many thanks
Ebike and cheaper trail/enduro bikes is exactly what Rock Shox market them for. Think of a budget version of a Pike or Revelation.
Gold means alu uppers (silver = steel uppers) so won't weigh a ton either.
Meant to be a decent budget fork.
They are good however weigh a TON
Thanks for your replies I don't think weight would be so much as an issue with it being an e bike but more worried about ride quality and reliability
My neighbour bought some for his hard tail. Were not really good at all until we dropped the lowers, replaced the oil, soaked the sponges, buttered the seals etc - now they are really very good indeed.
got some on my Big Dog, they're pretty basic, but i've been pleasantly surprised.
however this was my first new bike ever, so i rarely have top of the range comparisons!
