Snapped barn under seatpost other day
Fitted new barb and bled through
But the post stays in the down position now and if I lift up there's resistance when pulling up and it pops back down straight away

The post worked fine until barb snapped

barb fitted correctly and bleeds through both ends easy

Do not, whatever you do, pull up the saddle when the post is down!! It's a very good way of ****ing it.

Did you bleed it in the up or down position?

bled it in the up position..
but that dint bleed it properly noticed it wasnt holding air so tightened the valve core which sorted the air leak, but then it just stayed in the down position since that 😐

I'm going to guess there is a seal or something similar that is damaged and not allowing it to work...there are a few videos online about servicing the system...looks straightforward but not something I've been brave enough to attempt myself.
