Okay,
I'm trying to decide between the following forks:
Rockshox revs 150 RCT3 solo air, straight steerer and 15mm maxle
Magura TS8 R 150 with Albert+ damper dual position, 155mm axle and a tapered steerer
These would be to go on a new frame, to be decided in the next week - but both options are 150mm travel trail frames (SB66 or Cotic Rocket)
I've already ridden the SB66 demo bikes with a fox 32 and a deville - the fox was okay but the deville was really accurate (but out of my price range), so I can put some value on stiffness.
I have ridden a bike with the rev's on and I liked the damping - not sure on the stiffness as I didn't spend long on it. It's going to be my everything other than local loops bike (warwickshire clag) so needs to be fairly light - so no 36's! I ride the peaks, wales and trail centres mostly.
Has anyone ridden both these forks that could give a back to back comparison?
Cheers
I have similar dilemma for a Rocket build that I'm planning. I've had a good time with Rockshox forks in the past and especially like their serviceability with the wealth of info on the net. Just wonder what else is out there...
At the moment these are taking my fancy and the price seems good. I prefer the 2012 revelations as they still had dual air for extra fettling! From reading on here Mr. Loco himself uses them on his bike so that to me is praise indeed!
Cheers for the link - they look a pretty good price. Does anyone have opinions on the TS8's?
I found good value fox's at JE James:

and if you want burly

I really want something between these two, hence why I was looking at the Rev's and TS8's
I will have some RS Revelations for sale soon
