Is it just me or is there a real absence of deals on Pikes and Lyriks? The RRP and most big sellers prices all seem very steep. What happened to the deals for circa £400 and not north of £550?

I am considering Yari as well. No hurry so can wait to do a deal. I suppose just need to keep looking.

Might have something to do with a new Pike hitting the shelves for 2018.

If RS forks aren't on a deal it's because they are just about to be on a deal - patience is your friend

A worthy alternative perhaps?

wont be long until an online supplier sluts out the 2018 forks I imagine. As above it's all about patience, I will change my 2016 forks when the deal is right.

BoardinBob -

Yep....

Last money I was trying to buy a kids frame...(£899)
Tried upwards of 20 transition dealers....

One took my order then cancelled
18 (or so) either didn't respond or call back
2 called back saying they could do it but for £1600

Yes the murdering of the pound has made buying stuff more expensive.

Thanks for deals.

I had seen both the Merlin £349 Yari, which has a further 10% off and is the best offer yet. Not sure about the Bird demo forks, as Ben said how much of hard a life demo bikes/components have when I met him at Hamsterley.

Not sure about X-Fusion forks. Last thing I had off them was a shock on my Pitch 7 years ago and it was just ok. Perhaps I shouldn't be so blinkered as if I'd never tried Rockshox again I'd still be referring to my woeful Judys!

My ego wants a Lyrik, but I should probably just soldier on with my perfectly adequate 2 year old Pikes...
