Is there anything rideable in the blank bit of the map north of the M62, between Green Lane and Castleton Moor?

Can't embed the map but this is the area I'm thinking about.

Piecing together some alternative routes.

Thanks,

Andy

Not as far as I'm aware, but then again i tend to head up over Rooley Moor or towards Littleborough.

The 18 hole is mostly par three's.
I'd try the 9 hole first, much more fun.

Always take the direct line straight over the tree on the first.

Wrong side of the road there Rusty

That's the area known locally as Chaddy Lanes.

When I was growing up round there it was a quarry and a bridleway round the back of the pig farm and Chamber House Nightclub (for those that can remember it) so there is possibly something worth exploring but it will be fairly flat and not very big.

Edit: If you do find anything, let us know as it would be nice trip down memory lane as I spent hours round there as a kid

Usual route involves RMR, Healey Dell and Watergrove but looking for a bit of variety. Not averse to blatting across golf course bridleways either - usual track goes across Lobden, and was skirting round Rochdale Golf Club today.

Thanks - that's promising. Strava suggests there might be something in Marland Woods and a segment called Castle Hawk, which looks like a gentle downhill.

Edit - Google points in the direction of Industrial Fell Biking, run by one Terrahawk, as a potential source of info. At first glance, the forum is spammed to death but I shall do some digging

Bump for the day shift.

Other place I need to explore is SW of Ashworth Rd if anyone knows of anything in there?
