Bought a second hand frame and think I may be missing the plastic gear cable guide that goes on the underside of the bottom bracket. Am I right in thinking I need this to run the cables and anybody got one knocking round if so?

Thanks

I bought one with the the gear cable guide missing too. A quick call to Cotic and they sent me one in the post.
Apparenty there are 2 different types depending on the age of your Roadrat.

I'm going to start the new bike justification process with the missus in the coming months - we're going to move a bit closer to my work which will put me within about 11 miles. It's doable on my old rigid MTB but I reckon something a bit faster would be nice, particular if the brakes work (I'm on canti's).

I've been pondering a road rat but read that the top tube is quite short so is a good fit for MTBers, I do a bit of road riding also so don't mind being stretched out so this got me thinking about a cross bike with slicks, maybe the Cotic X. I'll need to fit mudguards and panniers.

I'll start a thread nearer the time but saw this one and thought I might be able to get some (relevant!) opinions.

Ta
