I'm on the look out for a reasonably priced carbon seatpost for my upcoming hybrid/town bike and came across some posts on Amazon under the name Roadnado - has anyone ever bought one or even bought cycling gear from Amazon? Maybe I should scurry back to the real cycling sites to get my post.
I'm sure someone will be along shortly to warn you of the dangers of using cheap Chinese produced carbon fibre products, but i'm using seatposts and bars that i got from Aliexpress and having been using them for a couple of years and i've been very impressed with them. Sure there probably some brands that are short on quality control but some of the bigger Chinese manufactures do appear to have upped their games recently.
Have a look at brands such as Elita One, Toseek and OG-Evkin.
Thanks. Got a brand x on my road bike and it seems fine.
I've got a very light weight Toseek carbon post on my road bike. Works great, no issues at all.
My Brand-X carbon post is the only carbon failure I've ever experienced, BUT that could easily be down to my hamfistedness as I'd tightened it more than once at the roadside with no torque wrench.
Other more expensive posts seem to have endured similar without failure which might just be pot-luck, but I'd just treat cheap carbon with kid gloves, be diligent with the assembly paste and torque wrench...
+1 Bazz
I've got a dirt cheap Elita One carbon seatpost on my roadbike (<140gms!) and it's been fine all year. I've got Chinese carbon bars and forks that are more than 5 years old now and have been ridden proper offroad on my gravel bike throughout that time.
My Toseek one looks identical to this Roadnado one

USE are still selling some sizes of their SUMO Carbon post for £20 on their outlet store -
Exposure-USE outlet
I'd take that over a random import ...
God those USE EVo91 carbon posts are a bargain.
bought one of the Roadnado posts. Pain in the arse to fit the saddle. 190g
I'm running several EC90s from Aliexpress with no issues at all.
