Hi can any point me to some 23mm rubber thanks good value. The second hand massi I have bought seems to rub on the rear brace on the 26mm rubber that's on it.

I am new to road bikes so don't want to spend the earth or have anything that's sketchy!

Cheers

Its a nick name that has stuck with me from when I was a apprentice! I have a magic touch. I have a few old Colchester students at work that I play on. The lads on the shop floor don't like a 'suit' playing with the big toys though 🙂

Try some of these, got them on one of my bikes. Can't go wrong for the money.

There is only one road tyre and that is the conti GP4000s. Great in the wet, great in the dry, black chilli and virtually puncture proof.

Tyres, and especially road tyres, are surely the one thing on your bike you don't want to skimp on?

Ran Rubino Pro3 on the best bike for years and no complaints (or punctures...!) but put some Michelin Pro4 on a couple of weeks back and I'm very impressed. Fast, grippy, comfy-ish. Just a thought 🙂

The Conti 4000s seems to be the most popular tyre of choice in this parish. I love them.

I've got some GP4000S to go on some new rims I've just built up. Wiggle are doing an offer that includes a pair of GP4000S's with 5 inner tubes for £65 if that's of any interest.

GP4000s from the German sites - fast, light, very grippy, reasonable value.

Bike Discount

I'm sure mine were less, could be exchange rage. The Wiggle deal with tubes is not much more, so check postage.

Planet X are selling michelin pro race 3 tyres for about £18. These seem to wear better than the Contis.

Happy with my Pro 3s, tbh I have nothing much to compare them with but so far they're well into lasting forever.

GP40000s are just so boring. Currently using Vittoria Diamante Pro Radiales, which are pretty funky

Michelin Pro 3 Race with latex inner tubes..... luvverly.

Even better, Pro 3 Light with latex. Fast, smooth, reliable.

But don't let the cat near your latex tubes when they're in their, er, flaccid state, cat's claws and latex are a bad combination.
