I'm thinking of upgrading the Campag Khamsin wheels on my Planet X RT-58 and the ones I'm currently looking at is either the Clubman wheels from Strada or maybe the Campag Zonda if I went factory built.
I know the Zonda's are well thought of but what do people think of the clubman from Strada?
Have you looked at the Superstarcomponents' clearance wheels that are £80 using the "Easter20" code?
CLubman looks nothing special. I'm sure they will be good but they arenot particularly light.
What do you want from your wheels? Reliability, weight, aero?
There are a fair few old threads on here but if you want handbuilt I like Just Riding Along but also hear good things about
DCR wheels

Then there are "factory" option. Hunt is worth a look. Quite a few on wiggle, the RS81s or Shimano Ultegra are good.
Recently got some Fulcrum Racing 3 - £450 down to £300 at a few places.
Put them on when I bought a new bike so couldn't verify if they 'transformed my ride' but they are very nice and look the nuts 🙂
Hand Crafted Wheels built a fair wheels for people on here and I've had no complaints as of yet and 20 years doing as of July this year
I've had zondas and I was disappointed tbh, sure for the price they are lightweight but in less than 12months they were knackered, the braking surface was under 1mm ( so now just used for turbo work) ok I'd done nearly 10k of hilly miles but the trouble is you can't buy new rims, they are a "throwaway" set of wheels. Also feel very harsh, taking very little road buzz out of the ride. At least with handbuilts you can replace the rims when the old ones wear out.
Only got gash colours left of the superstar wheels. Think they may be too light anyway as I'm currently 90kg.
I suppose I just want a nicer wheel than the budget Khamsins. Lighter but still reliable, comfortable and look smart 😉
