Last Year I was planning a road-trip to Wales and was gathering information on suitable venues etc...Unfortunately it didn't happen but this year it's going to go ahead.....BPW uplift tickets booked for the 28th July.

We did something similar last week and rode the following:
Afan (2 days)
Brechfa
Nant yr Arian
Coed-y-Brenin
Betws-y-Coed - Penmachno
Llandegla

Was Afan worth doing? I've read mixed reviews. Definately want to do Nant Y; someone wrote recently that the ride from Nant to Climachx is a good route.
Where did you stay?
Afan is a great venue, loads of trails to choose from and with the bike park also some different stuff to play around on.
I did a trip last year, 2 days at Afan, one at llandegla and one at CyB. Trying to get away again this year, prob September and would like to do bpw, penmachno, llandegla, cyb and antur stiniog.
Maybe try and do an alps trip next year!
I loved it yeah.
Nant was probably my favourite. Either that or Llandegla.
I was least impressed with CyB but think we should have ridden the beast rather than red/blue.
We rented a motorhome and were quite lucky as it was a quiet week. We were pretty unorganised and booked all our campsites about 7/8pm on the night.
Near Afan I think it was Ty Canol campsite about 15 mins away, and Dolgammed Campsite/Park was between Brechfa and Nant.
