Hi all
I have a set of Ultegra triple STI's but want to use them on a compact double chain set. Is it just a case of adjusting the front mech stops so that it can't "over shift " or is there something else I'll need to do.
I've done this with MTB shifters but just wanted to check if it's ok with road shifters.

I have an ultegra triple f/ mech and sti with ultegra compact chainset. Works fine.

I think there's a proper way of setting up, ie whether to use positions 1 and 2 or 2 and 3.
You can stress the shifter and damage it I think if you get It wrong.
