Hi,
I have a pair of Sidi's at the moment and have decided that they are too narrow at the toes, they go numb after about 20minutes!

So are there any shoes out there with a more generous fit? Looking to spend max £100-£150 really.

Cheers

Fizik are quite wide in the toe box.

Shimano are a touch wider in general.
Nortwave are rather wide
Specialized between the two

Giro are similar to Shimano.

I had the same issues with my Sidi's and couldn't afford mega ones, so bought a half size bigger Diadoras a couple of weeks ago. They are fantastic for width, comfort etc. No more cramps. Got them from CR. They are a bit bright but I didn't care as they work for me. Sidis now sold.

Having tried on about a dozen different shoes in the last week, half of themsupposedly wide fitting, I finally plumped for some Wide fit Sidi Megas.
Bliss! (and the same price as normal ones)

Specialized are wider than Sidi and fit my rather wide plates of meat. I'm currently wearing a pair if their expert shoes and like them a lot.

+1 for Bont's, especially the Bont Riot - £99 for a mouldable sole.....

I have gibbon feet, got some Bontys, feel great.
But, if you get them from a trek store, you can actually try them on your bike, for a month, and take them back if you aren't happy.

I've got some giro factor which are really good. I can tell the difference in the weight between them and my cheaper bontrager RL shoes but not much difference in stiffness.

Get to a shop and try some on, people recommending what fits them is only useful if you have the same shape feet. Saying that spesh is a good place to start.

I have wide feet and Diadora work for me too, got them from CRC. If is remember correctly, they are sized as normal shoes so you don't need to go up a size like other cycling shoes.

I tried spesh shoes as well as my sidis. They were no better for me.

Diadora for me as well (for my plate like feet).

My son suffers from the same affliction and I have just bought him some of these (best he has worn apparently!):

Specialized Road Comps are great. I've read somewhere that they have a purposely roomier toebox, which I find to be true. Really like the BOA system. Only complaint could be it doesn't hold my heels very well when walking but hey, road shoes aren't for walking around.

I just bought some Spiuk ZS15R's. Haven't ridden them yet but they have a ratchet strap and BOA lower down - seems to give a good range of adjustment.

Plus they're heat mouldable in a domestic oven for a custom fit. Marketing guff or not I don't know, but it could be useful.

Disappointingly, I tried some of the racier Specialized shoes (Road Pros?) and for the size I would normally be, they were just too pointy and squashed my little toes. I already have a set of the cheapest ones Road Sport(?) with just the Velcro straps and these are much roomier for the same size.

I went for some Louis Garneau LS-100 shoes in the end after trying them on at evans. Went for a size 44 and they feel very comfy, yet to try them on the bike though.

Cheers for the recommendations...
