Anyone any experience of the A23's, durability, etc.
Weight looks ok, looking at options when the Open pros on the road bike wear out.
have been strong and comfy and grippy but need plenty of spokes to keep them stiff, see last weeks thread here:

seen nothing about durability though. Got years out of an Open pro for everything use, so wondering if they are comparable or whether i should just stick with Open Pros.
for the weight and shape i personnally wouldn't be building them with less than 28 on the front 32 on the back. I had seen comments about them being flexy when used 20hole....
which is a, no ****, shallow rim, few spokes flexes, wow would never have guessed......
Well ive crashed them through plenty of potholes and used them as my only wheel for about 12 months and they have stayed perfectly true and show no signs of wear.
Yeah... I realise that now, i guess i trusted my wheelbuilders advice too much.

I am surprised any wheel builder would recommend that combination.
But thanks the crashing through potholes in a not very sensible build is helpful, it does suggest the rims have some degree of strength.
I've had some on my cross bike for 2 rides 😉
32h definitely not flexy where as I've found other wheels to flex under pressure.
Come in a tubeless flavour now as well.
24H on my old front alpha here, not experiencing flex problems (32H rear tho, and I found 24H flexy)
