You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
We're planning a weekend away with friends. Mrs_oab isn't full fitness, and friend looking for nothing too hardcore off-road as she's never been off-road.
Hybrids/toury bikes.
Scotland - we're all in Dunblane.
Ideally a round route or public transport, mainly nice quiet roads and some forest/estate roads. Perhaps 40-60km a day. Nice views.
We will need to stay in accomodation overnight. Happy to be remote.
Ideas so far:
Inverness out to Affric, stay in Cannich.
Some of the Argyll Way (faff with transport).
A slow Five Ferries.
Speyside way and Nethy ish loop.
FtWilliam/Ardgour/Sheil loop.
Your suggestions/what have I missed?
Blair Atholl to Aviemore(ish) via Gaick, return via NCN7/Wade road through Phones & Etteridge. Has a train bail-out option too. The only rough bit is by Loch an Duin and that's short.
I had suggested that - mrs_oab and I have done it. Mrs_oab suggests her friend may baulk at even that off-road...
